How can we help each other?
When I made the decision to leave consulting, I realised that offering a
professional writing service would enable me to maintain meaningful
connections with my professional network. Moreover, it would provide
an opportunity to continue to participate in dialogue around new and
innovative thinking in today's market.
So how can I help you?
Every business has communication needs, but not everyone has the time, or the capability to communicate well.
Communicating is one of my key strengths. I am passionate about sharing knowledge; succinctly, imaginatively and interestingly. The
following are ways in which I can assist you in your professional writing needs:
The figures stack up, the tangible and intangible benefits are real - but how does one communicate with and influence key decision makers
and stake holders?
Your company has done something interesting and innovative - TELL PEOPLE. A compelling case study or article for publication in an industry
publication can be a powerful public relations and advertising tool.
A lot of work goes into securing a guest speaker for a company event. Often, attendees will ask for a transcript of the talk to share
with other colleagues. Furthermore, people who were unable to attend may request to have a transcript sent to them. Wouldn't it be great
to have a transcript to make available on your web site the very next day? Having a professionally and compellingly written version of the
talk gives you the opportunity to respond to these requests and maximise the exposure you and your guest speaker can achieve.
As you progress in your career, so should the documentation which highlights your professional achievements. An executive biography is
an important tool to communicate career successes and qualifications. In contrast to a CV, its purpose is to tell a story about your
professional development in clear, interesting and easy to read language.
Executive biographies are important. Here are some examples of their uses:
- To introduce you if you are asked to speak at a professional event
- To highlight your credentials to prospective clients when you are engaged in offering consulting services
- To augment your CV when you are applying for senior positions
- To "advertise" yourself on social networking sites such as LinkedIn
There will always be a need for professionally formatted presentations which elicit audience interest without drowning them in detail.
This can be easier said than done!
In the 21st century, a web site is de rigueur. But there is not much point having a web site if the content is confusing, or does not
encourage the reader to want to find out more about you, or your company.
You have an interesting point of view and some great data which backs it up. But you are having trouble communicating your point of
view in an interesting and engaging way.
Not for profits are often companies where innovation abounds: people have to think laterally to get around the ubiquitous budgetary
constraints they face. I am very interested in supporting not for profits by offering my services pro bono.
